About the Role
VIA is seeking an exceptional individual to build and own the entire recruitment funnel for all open roles. This is a unique opportunity to establish the people function from the ground up, focusing on attracting and hiring top talent to support the company's rapid growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire recruitment funnel, from briefing with hiring founders to closing candidates.
- Develop and execute outbound sourcing strategies on platforms like LinkedIn and beyond.
- Establish and maintain a rigorous process for identifying exceptional candidates, including structured interviews and take-home challenges.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience with timely communication.
- Build and manage the onboarding process in collaboration with hiring leads.
- Develop a lean people function, including contracts, performance reviews, compensation bands, and HR controls aligned with ISO 27001 and C5 frameworks.
- Foster company culture and rituals as the team doubles in size.
Requirements
- Proven track record of successfully closing difficult roles, with demonstrable metrics (hires per year, time to hire, offer acceptance rates).
- Expertise in sourcing passive candidates.
- Strong judgment for assessing candidate quality and differentiating exceptional from merely good.
- A closing instinct and negotiation skills.
- A builder mentality with the ability to create processes, templates, and tooling independently.
- Working knowledge of German employment law basics (contracts, probation, notice periods).
- Fluency in both German and English.
- A desire to build the people function of a rapidly growing company.
