About the Role
Ardsley Veterinary Associates is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our fast-paced general animal practice. This role involves direct patient care, client communication, and supporting surgical procedures. We offer opportunities for training and career development.
Responsibilities
- Pet restraint
- Triage incoming patients
- Diagnostic imaging
- Communicate treatment plans to clients
- Surgical preparation and assistance
- Withstand unpleasant odors and noises
- Handle potential exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste, and contagious diseases
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-year experience preferred
- Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
- Able to properly restrain pets
- Proficient in obtaining medical histories
- Proficient in processing laboratory tests
- Proficient in processing radiographs
- Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance knowledge and skillset
