About the Role
As the Senior Product Manager for International Platform and Globalization at Clio, you will deliver shared platform features enabling all Clio markets to operate on the same product, including jurisdiction, currency, and other essential configuration layers. You will also manage the globalization program to launch Clio in local languages, working across international product, engineering, and design teams.
Responsibilities
- Own the execution of platform features for all markets, including jurisdiction, currency, and configuration layers that allow features to vary by country, region, or language.
- Deliver platform features at scale, enabling new markets to launch with configuration and minimal new code, without disrupting existing users.
- Deliver through engineering teams and internationalization engineering, setting plans, sequencing work, and maintaining a view of available and in-progress features.
- Bring a cross-market perspective to regional product manager decisions on feature development and localization.
- Consolidate requirements from regional PMs across Europe, Asia Pacific, and North America to streamline shared needs.
- Present options, recommendations, and cost analyses to leadership when regional PMs cannot reach a decision.
- Define and run the operating model for localization work, coordinating across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Customer Education, and Support.
- Coordinate delivery across functions for market launches, ensuring product, help content, marketing, and support are localized simultaneously.
- Own translation vendor strategy and management, including contracted language specialists.
- Set the quality bar for vendor work and machine translation output.
- Read and reason about platform architecture, identifying and addressing single-country assumptions in data models.
- Lead design discussions with engineers on cardinality, extensibility, and migration, documenting decisions.
- Partner with internationalization engineering on translation pipelines, locale formats, and testing.
- Build cases and articulate tradeoffs when influencing central teams whose roadmaps may not include international markets.
- Set a clear vision for global market support and ship toward it within weeks, aiming for customer-visible changes within 90 days.
- Parallelize workstreams where possible to accelerate delivery.
- Work AI-first by default, using AI for research, drafting, data querying, program tracking, and prototyping.
- Build personal working systems using AI tools, prompts, and scripts.
- Verify AI output, especially machine translation and compliance-related information.
- Partner closely with leaders across Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, Customer Education, Support, Finance, Legal, and Operations in various global locations.
- Manage stakeholder relationships across a matrixed organization with clarity and diplomacy.
Requirements
- 7 or more years of experience in product management, including at least 3 years owning platform, infrastructure, or shared capabilities adopted by other product teams.
- Experience delivering configuration or platform capability adopted by three or more markets or product teams (e.g., multi-currency, multi-jurisdiction, localization).
- Experience running a cross-functional program spanning product and go-to-market teams, including managing outside vendors against quality and date requirements.
- Technical depth sufficient to own data model and migration decisions with senior engineers, from an engineering background or equivalent hands-on experience.
- A platform capability shipped that demonstrably reduced time or effort for other teams, with supporting data.
- Evidence of delivering through teams that do not report to you and have no accountability for your outcome.
- Demonstrated AI-native working style with specific examples of AI usage in product practice.
- Experience using data to inform decisions without analysis paralysis.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with comfort operating in ambiguity.
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative team without ego.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
