About the Role
First Student is seeking dependable, safety-minded individuals to join their team serving the Skaneateles Central School District. This role offers meaningful part-time work with a schedule that fits your life, providing an opportunity to make a lasting impact in your community by ensuring students arrive safely to school and back home.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school and school-sponsored activities
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain a safe and orderly environment on the bus
- Assist students during boarding and exiting, including those requiring additional support
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety standards
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Report maintenance concerns promptly and maintain vehicle cleanliness
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid driver's license held for at least three years
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service
- Enjoy working with children and being part of the community
- English proficiency required for training, safety communications, company policies, and employment documents.
