About the Role

Cleaners perform a wide range of specialized and routine cleaning activities in various environments including hospital and clean rooms, laboratories, residential facilities, and restrooms. The nature of the cleaning assignments ranges from light, medium, to heavy physical effort.

Responsibilities

Stripping and polishing floors
Window washing
Vacuuming
Trash and recycling removal
Dusting and cleaning walls, office space, kitchens and common areas
Cleaning hospital and clean rooms, laboratories, residential facilities, and restrooms
Scrubbing and cleaning lavatories including sinks, urinals, and toilets
Removing refuse from buildings
Picking up and removing hazardous articles from floors, furniture, and equipment
Moving furniture and equipment for cleaning and care functions
Washing floors, corridors, stairs, stairwells, walls, partitions, and windows
Replacing light bulbs, dusting and/or washing light fixtures and high places
Stripping, vacuuming, and waxing floors
Shampooing carpets
Dusting assigned areas
Polishing wood and metal fixtures and equipment
Occasionally removing snow and ice on outdoor walkways and staircases
Stripping wax from furniture
Cleaning and polishing furniture
Performing other duties or projects as assigned

Requirements

Must be physically able to perform medium to heavy physical labor
Must be able to follow and understand simple verbal and/or written instructions in English
Must successfully clear a background investigation
