About the Role
As a remote interpreter, you will facilitate communication between Cambodian/Khmer and English speakers, processing information quickly and accurately in a professional manner. Ensuring a quiet and secure environment is essential.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate communication between Cambodian/Khmer and English speakers.
- Process information quickly and with accuracy in a professional manner.
- Ensure a quiet & secure environment.
- Render correct concepts and meanings according to the conventions of established interpretation protocol, avoiding omissions or additions.
- Explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication with permission or at the request of the client.
Requirements
- Fluency in English and Cambodian/Khmer.
- Minimum 1-year interpretation experience preferred.
- Excellent listening, retention and note taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy.
- Proficiency/Bilingual/Native level of English and target language.
- Computer or Laptop.
- Windows 10 or higher.
- USB Wired headset.
- Steady wired internet connection.
