About the Role
As a remote interpreter, you will play a significant role in facilitating communication between Kurdish and English speakers. You must be able to process information quickly and accurately in a professional manner, ensuring a quiet and secure environment.
Responsibilities
- Render correct concepts and meanings according to interpretation protocol, avoiding omissions or additions.
- Explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication when requested by the client.
Requirements
- Fluency in English and Kurdish
- Minimum 1-year interpretation experience preferred
- Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills
- Computer or Laptop
- Windows 10 or higher
- USB Wired headset
- Steady wired internet connection
- Proficiency/Bilingual/Native level of English and target language.
- Must ensure a quiet & secure environment.
- Note pads and writing utensils, glossaries, and dictionaries are useful tools.
