About the Role

Vertical Relevance is seeking experienced AWS Cloud Security Engineers to support a large-scale AWS governance and security transformation initiative. This role focuses on SCP and RCP implementation across AWS Organizations using Terraform and Control Tower AFT. Professional experience architecting/operating automated Security & Compliance / DevSecOps solutions built on AWS. This person is responsible for the end-to-end planning, building, and deploying of software systems and will be able to drive the programming of well-constructed, testable code. As an AWS Cloud Security Engineer, you will implement technical solutions as part of a team for customer engagements. This role requires strong teamwork, communication, patience and organization skills needed to drive customer success.

Responsibilities

Help customers shape their journey to adopting the cloud and provide technical and strategic guidance.
Consult, plan, design, and implement security solutions on the cloud.
Design and automate security and compliance solutions.
Become a deep technical resource that earns customer trust.
Develop high-quality technical content such as automation tools, reference architectures, and white papers.
Innovate on behalf of customers and translate thoughts into action yielding measurable results.
Support solution development by conveying customer needs and feedback as input to technology roadmaps.
Share real-world implementation challenges and recommend expansion of capabilities.
Assist with technical briefs that document solutions.
Assist with reference architecture implementations.
Support internal and external brand development through thought leadership.
Work with Marketing/Alliances to write blog posts.
Work with Marketing/Alliances to develop internal case studies.

Requirements

Author SCP and RCP policy rule sets in Terraform.
Implement and deploy policies through Control Tower AFT pipelines.
Execute policy testing and blast radius analysis in sandbox environments.
Deploy policies from Sandbox OU to NCZ and DPZ/Critical Zone.
Build VPC endpoint, S3, and KMS resource-based policies.
Develop runbooks and conduct knowledge transfer.
Hands-on AWS SCP and RCP authoring experience.
Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code expertise.
AWS Organizations and multi-account governance experience.
IAM Access Analyzer and IAM policy evaluation.
VPC Endpoint, Amazon S3, and AWS KMS policy experience.
AWS Certified Security - Specialty.
AWS Control Tower AFT experience.
Runbook authoring and knowledge transfer experience.
Software/technology customer-facing experience.
Must be able to code with Python.
U.S. work authorization required.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
