About the Role

Seeking a skilled and dependable Fabrication Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and improvement of industrial machinery, production equipment, and facility systems. This role involves mechanical maintenance, preventive maintenance, welding, and custom metal fabrication, focusing on troubleshooting, repairs, and maintaining a safe and efficient production environment.

Responsibilities

Perform mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial machinery, production equipment, and shop equipment.
Perform welding, cutting, grinding, fitting, and metal fabrication.
Fabricate, repair, and modify equipment components, brackets, frames, guards, platforms, and structural supports.
Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, lubrication, and equipment adjustments.
Diagnose mechanical problems and replace worn or damaged components.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, measurements, and fabrication specifications.
Assist with equipment installations, modifications, rebuilds, and facility improvement projects.
Fabricate custom parts, tools, and fixtures to support production operations.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
Follow all company safety policies, including PPE, lockout/tagout, and hot-work procedures.
Document maintenance activities and communicate equipment concerns to supervisors.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in industrial maintenance, welding, metal fabrication, or mechanical repair.
Proficiency in welding, cutting, grinding, and general fabrication techniques.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and technical drawings.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and industrial shop equipment.
Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and workplace safety requirements.
Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
Hands-on, safety-conscious individual who takes pride in quality workmanship.
Ability to keep equipment running through effective maintenance and fabrication.
