About the Role
As a Technical Lead, you will be the technical voice within an e-commerce crew, working closely with business and product owners to develop digital solutions for a compelling and performant customer shopping experience. Your focus will be on frontend engineering, with a holistic understanding of software engineering to evaluate technical contexts beyond the frontend.
Responsibilities
- You are responsible for the technical direction and frontend architecture of our e-commerce solutions.
- You translate business and product requirements into sustainable technical solutions together with the Crew Business Owner and Crew Product Owner.
- You make architectural decisions and define technical guardrails for scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
- You keep an eye on the overall technical picture and evaluate dependencies on APIs, backend, cloud, and platforms.
- You promote engineering excellence through modern development practices, automated tests, CI/CD, and high-quality standards.
- You support engineers through technical sparring, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in software engineering, with prior technical responsibility in a Senior Software Engineer, Tech Lead, or comparable role.
- Strong background in frontend engineering, with the ability to soundly assess and further develop frontend architectures.
- Good understanding of the interplay between frontend, APIs, backend, and cloud.
- Experience in technical leadership, with the ability to make architectural decisions, represent them clearly, and drive them forward with engineers.
- Enjoy working at the intersection of business, product, and technology.
- Experience with e-commerce, retail, or comparable transactional digital products is advantageous.
- Additional full-stack experience.
