About the Role
As Foresight & Market Lead, you will identify market trends for health insurance providers, physician associations, and hospitals, and determine their implications for IQVIA HSS. You will report directly to senior management and play a key role in shaping the future of IQVIA HSS by identifying market changes and bringing new offerings to the German market.
Responsibilities
- Develop market and technology scenarios for the next three to seven years and derive leading indicators.
- Monitor legislation and self-governance (e.g., electronic prescriptions, emergency and hospital reforms, data usage) and assess impacts on products and business.
- Track mergers and alliances among clients and evaluate their implications for the client base.
- Assess the need for new products through market research, client and expert discussions, market sizing, and competitive analysis.
- Prepare findings as clear decision-making templates for senior management and moderate workshops with the leadership and product teams.
- Build the unit's market and competitive knowledge base and manage external data sources and studies.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Health Economics, Economics, Business Administration, Public Health, Social Sciences, Political Sciences with a quantitative focus, Futures Studies, or a comparable field.
- Several years of experience in market analysis, market intelligence, corporate development, or consulting within the healthcare sector (at a health insurance provider, association, health IT provider, or consultancy).
- Very good knowledge of the German healthcare system, particularly statutory health insurance and contract physician care.
- Proficiency in scenario and trend methods, as well as quantitative analysis (Excel, Power BI, or comparable).
- Ability to distill complex information to its essence and to objectively represent even uncomfortable findings.
