About the Role

Responsibilities

Set up and operate flaker equipment safely and efficiently.
Package and store products in designated areas.
Clean work areas, including floors and pans.
Weigh and store resin according to supervisor instructions.
Assist with charging kettles (liquid or solids) under direction.
Help dump, chip, and prepare kettles for subsequent batches.
Perform yard cleanup duties.
Transfer powdered resin from fiber drums to bags.
Operate crusher equipment, including dumping and charging into bags or drums.
Obtain packing materials and transport full packages to shipping or designated areas.
Assist the grinder operator as needed.
Perform duties of shipper and receiver when assigned to the shipping department.
Execute general labor duties as required.
Prevent and contain chemical spills to ensure safety and environmental protection.
Operate a forklift as instructed or required.
Perform supplemental duties utilizing common skills during normal job functions.
Fulfill any qualified job functions or classifications.
Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, including hazardous material handling.
Adhere to quality regulations and requirements to support customer-focused initiatives.

Requirements

Physically capable of performing all specified job duties.
Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
Proficiency in using hand tools and jackhammer.
Ability to shovel, push, and pull non-powered material handling equipment.
Skill in operating valves.
Ability to operate a forklift safely.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
Ability to arrive on time and work scheduled shifts.
Basic math skills.
Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
Must pass a medical exam and drug test prior to hire.

$24.32 per hour starting rate
5.5% shift differential on base rate
$27.91 per hour after 1 year
At least $31.94 per hour after 2 years
Guaranteed annual pay increases
Overtime paid at time and one-half plus 3.5% shift differential on base rate
