About the Role
Hitachi Solutions Europe is seeking an experienced Finance & HR Consultant to join their Lifetime Services (LTS) team. This role focuses on post-go-live support, service delivery, and ensuring long-term client success for clients using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations in critical business environments. You will manage a diverse caseload of issues and provide expert advice, building strong, lasting relationships with clients.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage a portfolio of support, service, and advisory cases across multiple clients, balancing priorities, urgency, and business impact.
- Triage, analyze, and resolve Finance and HR-related issues within Dynamics 365 F&O.
- Intelligently prioritize workload to meet agreed SLAs and service expectations.
- Take accountability for cases end-to-end, from investigation to resolution, communication, and closure.
- Act as a trusted functional advisor to clients, communicating clearly with finance and HR stakeholders.
- Provide regular, structured updates to clients on case progress, risks, and next steps.
- Translate complex functional or system behavior into clear, business-focused explanations.
- Produce high-quality design documentation and robust test plans.
- Build long-term client relationships through ownership, reliability, and a customer-centric mindset.
- Advise on the applicability and benefits of One Version enhancements for individual clients.
- Apply strong functional knowledge of Dynamics 365 Finance modules (General ledger, AR/AP, Cash & Bank, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting).
- Support and advise on Core Finance, Budgeting, Reporting, integrations (e.g., Payroll), and cross-module Finance–HR processes.
- Identify root causes of issues and propose pragmatic, support-appropriate solutions.
- Recommend incremental improvements and optimizations to enhance system stability and usability.
- Work closely with technical teams, Service Delivery Managers, and other LTS consultants to resolve complex issues.
- Produce clear functional analysis, specifications, or impact assessments.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing within the LTS team by documenting issues and approaches.
- Support continuous improvement of LTS processes, tooling, and ways of working.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of relevant Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations consulting experience, ideally combining implementation and post-go-live/support environments.
- Extensive functional design experience within D365 F&O, including designing customisations, enhancements, and complex functional requirements.
- Strong experience in bug investigation and root-cause analysis.
- Experience supporting clients in the public sector is beneficial.
- A logical, analytical approach to problem-solving and introducing change into operational systems.
- Experience of at least two full lifecycle implementations, with a clear understanding of post-go-live support considerations.
- Excellent documentation skills and the ability to produce clear, concise functional analysis.
- All candidates must be eligible for Security Clearance.
