About the Role

EY’s Financial Restructuring (FR) team works with stressed and challenged businesses, delivering financial and organisational solutions to help clients adapt and succeed or minimise downside risks. The role involves understanding value drivers, problem-solving for competing stakeholders, and adapting to a fast-paced environment within a welcoming and inclusive team.

Responsibilities

Manage the restructuring engagement by defining scope and executing in compliance with policies.
Lead engagements, report to the engagement Partner, and project manage the team.
Coordinate deliverables from various teams and communicate issues to the Partner.
Drive projects to completion with limited supervision.
Establish and nurture relationships both internally within EY and externally with clients and intermediaries.
Coach and counsel team members, sharing existing skills and knowledge.
Contribute to or lead training courses, recruitment, and team/wellbeing activities.
Support people development within the FR team.

Requirements

Proven track record within a recognised Restructuring team.
Experience of leading options analysis, contingency planning, and formal corporate insolvencies.
Experience of financial advisory, business reviews, comparator reports for Schemes/Restructuring Plans, and liquidity reviews.
A professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
Potentially a pass in the JIEB corporate exam paper.
Strong personal network and ability to build strong external relationships.
Ability to actively participate in business development.
Appreciation of the risks inherent in advising stressed and distressed businesses and their stakeholders.
People development experience and ability to effectively supervise, coach, and mentor staff.
A network of market contacts with work providers.

Ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently while maintaining quality.
