About the Role
This position is designed to put you on the fast track toward a future store manager role through hands-on training and development. You will help build a strong foundation for day-to-day operational processes throughout your assigned location in partnership with the regional leadership team.
Responsibilities
- Participate on a team of up to 4 other Associates reporting to the Team Lead
- Partner with District Manager and Lead to ensure operating procedures and processes are meeting G.O.L.D standards and assist with retraining associates as needed
- Provide hands-on support during store remodels, refresh projects such as multi-price point conversion, and new store openings
- Assist with staffing audits, store processes, and asset protection functions and provide input on operational efficiency and process compliance
- Assist new store managers during peak seasonal periods throughout the year
- Conduct daytime field visits (90% travel) to support store operations throughout the assigned area
- Assist with various store and asset protection processes, and provide input on operational efficiency and process compliance
- Support in inventory preparation and door-to-shelf functions
- Provide flexible coverage for daily operations at assigned stores, including store recovery, time off, leave of absence, and special projects
- Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
- Champion exceptional customer service and foster a positive, team-oriented environment
- Protect and secure all company assets
- Other duties as assigned by Regional Director, District Manager, or Team Lead
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to travel to all assigned locations within assigned area is required
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height
- Meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work a flexible, full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays is required
