About the Role
As a Live-In Complex Care Assistant, you will live in the client's home for an agreed period and provide support in accordance with their individual care plan and clinical requirements. Complex care is about the person, not simply their diagnosis. You will take the time to understand the individual you support — their preferences, routines, interests and goals — and help them maintain as much choice, control and independence as possible.
Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated 1:1, person-centred care, helping clients live safely, independently and with dignity.
- Support individuals with complex healthcare needs in the comfort of their own homes.

- Support clients to enjoy time with family, access their local community, pursue hobbies or feel comfortable and secure in their own home.
- Follow detailed care plans and clinical guidance.
Requirements
- Previous experience working within healthcare, complex care or a similar environment
- Experience supporting individuals with complex healthcare needs
- A compassionate and person-centred approach
- Excellent observation and communication skills
- Confidence working independently within a client's home
- The ability to recognise and appropriately escalate changes in a client's condition
- A strong understanding of dignity, safeguarding, confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Good written communication and record-keeping skills
- A reliable, flexible and professional approach
