About the Role
Drive new business growth within the Canadian insurance sector by owning complex sales cycles, developing executive relationships, and positioning Earnix’s intelligent decisioning solutions for Canadian insurers undergoing digital and operational evolution.
Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle from lead to close, driving pipeline generation, qualification, solution positioning, and deal negotiation using a structured MEDDPICC approach.
- Work closely with Canadian insurance prospects to understand their business challenges and articulate how Earnix can deliver measurable value.
- Develop and execute territory and account strategies, focusing on expanding Earnix’s footprint within the Canadian insurance market.
- Leverage market insights and customer intelligence to identify opportunities and strengthen Earnix’s competitive positioning.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across actuarial, product, underwriting, pricing, IT, and executive leadership.
- Lead conversations that help Canadian insurers modernize and transform their operations through intelligent decisioning.
- Collaborate with global remote teams in product, marketing, presales, and delivery to ensure a seamless customer journey.
- Drive alignment across multiple time zones and functions to deliver an exceptional prospect experience.
- Represent Earnix at Canadian industry events, conferences, and customer engagements, delivering compelling presentations and communicating Earnix’s value proposition.
- Be a visible ambassador of the brand in the Canadian insurance ecosystem.
Requirements
- 8+ years of proven, successful sales experience in the Canadian P&C Insurance space, ideally gained at a fast-growing startup or scale-up.
- Demonstrate the ability to navigate complex organizations and close strategic deals in a high-growth, less-established environment.
- Strong understanding of how Canadian insurers operate today, combined with deep knowledge of digital transformation challenges and opportunities across the sector.
- Use knowledge to influence strategic discussions and guide prospects toward modern, analytics-driven decisioning.
- Hands-on experience running deals through a MEDDPICC (or comparable) qualification methodology.
- Fluency in metrics, economic buyer identification, decision criteria/process mapping, pain identification, and champion building.
- Passion for hunting and new business acquisition, consistently driving pipeline growth, identifying new revenue streams, and generating momentum in the competitive Canadian insurance market.
- Experience operating within global, distributed teams, using collaboration tools and communication best practices.
- Highly motivated, results-oriented work style, committing to doing what it takes to win while upholding Earnix values and delivering a world-class customer experience.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, enabling clear conveyance of complex concepts and building trust with diverse stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Canada when required.
- Demonstrate exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Engage effectively with Canadian insurance executives and influence high-impact decisions.
- Apply MEDDPICC rigor instinctively — qualifying hard, forecasting accurately, and knowing when to walk away from a bad deal.
- Communicate with clarity, confidence, and insight, tailoring messages to technical, commercial, and leadership audiences.
- Exhibit strong teamwork and collaboration, even while working independently, by aligning with global colleagues and sharing knowledge and field intelligence.
- Show resilience, tenacity, and a competitive drive, maintaining focus on results and adapting quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Present yourself as a trusted advisor, helping Canadian insurance customers navigate change while positioning Earnix as an indispensable strategic partner.
