About the Role
Landor is seeking an MW Designer (Experience and Spatial) to join our London studio. This role involves contributing ideas and design concepts for spatial and experience-led projects, turning briefs into engaging design solutions, and managing design tasks from concept through production.
Responsibilities
- Contribute ideas and design concepts for spatial and experience-led projects, including retail environments, branded spaces, pop-ups, exhibitions and expos.
- Turn briefs and audience insights into engaging design solutions, working with senior designers and the wider team.
- Develop design elements such as customer journeys, layouts, materials, lighting, graphics, signage, wayfinding, content and interactive features.
- Take ownership of design tasks and workstreams, from early concepts through design development, prototyping and production.
- Create clear, considered presentations, visualisations, drawings, mock-ups and design documentation.
- Work collaboratively with teams across strategy, brand, digital, architecture, production and client services.
- Support design reviews, technical coordination and site implementation, helping resolve issues and ensuring designs are practical to deliver.
- Consider accessibility, inclusion, sustainability, safety and operational needs in your work.
- Contribute to client workshops, presentations and new business pitches, with support from senior team members.
- Manage workload, communicate progress and deliver work to agreed deadlines.
- Share ideas, take part in creative reviews and use feedback to develop work.
Requirements
- Experience in a design agency or similar creative environment, with a portfolio that shows strong design thinking and craft.
- Experience or a clear interest in spatial, experiential or brand-led design.
- Good conceptual and visual skills, and the ability to develop ideas into thoughtful design solutions.
- An understanding of the design process, from brief and concept through to production and delivery.
- Strong communication skills and an open, collaborative approach to working with others.
- Confidence sharing work and explaining design decisions.
- Good organisation and the ability to manage tasks and deadlines.
- A passion for design, branding and creating engaging experiences.
- Proficiency with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and Miro, plus relevant visualisation software such as Cinema 4D, Rhino, AutoCAD, SketchUp or Vectorworks.
- Familiarity with 3D rendering or real-time visualisation tools is useful; experience with interactive or immersive platforms is a bonus.
