About the Company
- Mercari Group aims to create a richer society by circulating all kinds of value and expanding everyone's potential. Born from founder Shintaro Yamada's challenge during his world trip in 2013, "What can we do to create a richer society given limited global resources?", the flea market app "Mercari" was created. We believe that by circulating all kinds of value, not limited to physical goods or money, we can increase the options for everyone to achieve their goals and contribute to people and society. We will connect people worldwide through the power of technology and realize a world where everyone's potential can be realized. Please see the Mercari Culture Doc for Mercari Group's future direction.
- Mercari may seem like a completed company, but as we grow and diversify our business, the systems and infrastructure that enable optimal management decisions and resource allocation are constantly changing. To accelerate the growth of each Mercari business, we are constantly required to think from scratch about what mechanisms are needed and what challenges lie ahead, and to build those systems.
- We plan and promote mid-to-long-term strategies, budget plans, and cross-divisional projects, both offensive and defensive. By involving diverse stakeholders, we implement, operate, and improve new mechanisms for further growth.
- We are introducing an EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) system to enhance and streamline management accounting. By operating budget formulation and actual vs. plan management on a common system platform, we aim to increase the speed and accuracy of decision-making across the Group.
- Please see here for details on Mercari's mission and values.
Equal Opportunity
- Mercari Group values empathy and embodiment of the Mercari Group and each company's mission and values. To promote an organization where the total value generated by members is maximized, we want to understand candidates' experiences and skills more accurately.
- Mercari aims to realize a society where individuals can freely create value without their potential being limited by their background. Furthermore, we believe that "Inclusion & Diversity" is indispensable for Mercari to achieve its mission. In our recruitment activities, we promise to eliminate all discrimination based on age, gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, physical ability, or any other identifier, so that people from diverse backgrounds who resonate with Mercari's mission and values can join us.
