About the Role

PAIR Finance is seeking a leader to establish and grow its UK market presence. This is a build role where you will own the market end-to-end, including P&L, sales, operations, and team building, supported by an international group.

Responsibilities

Full revenue and result responsibility (P&L) for PAIR Finance UK, driving sales, new client acquisition, pipeline management, and commercial decisions.
Develop and execute the UK go-to-market and sales strategy, prioritizing focus industries and collection strategies.
Win the first UK clients, build pipeline from scratch, and systematically grow partnerships with ambitious new business and growth targets.
Identify market trends and new business potential to inform technology and service development with a UK focus.
Position PAIR Finance in the UK market through press releases, conference talks, trade fairs, webinars, local marketing, and client events.
Hire, lead, and develop a motivated local team from the ground up.
Set up UK operations from scratch, including local entity, collection processes, and AI technology adaptation.
Ensure regulatory compliance in the UK, including FCA authorization, in alignment with the central Legal & Compliance function.

Requirements

Several years of experience in an FCA-regulated debt collection, debt administration, or debt purchasing business.
Ideally, experience being approved by the FCA as an SMF1, SMF3, or comparable Senior Manager function.
Hands-on experience working with the FCA, including gaining authorization and working in close dialogue with the FCA.
Commercial track record with P&L responsibility and proven build-up of creditor relationships.
Experience with RFPs, long sales cycles, and contract negotiations with enterprise clients.
A resilient, commercially usable network among decision-makers at UK enterprises in key industries.
Strong customer focus and a pronounced hands-on sales mentality.
Clear, credible communication skills.
Genuine interest in technology and AI tools.
Fluent English.
