About the Role

This is an apprenticeship to learn how to drive a bus, subway, or tram in a shift system between 04:00 and 22:00. You will also learn about the vehicle's technology and gain knowledge in commercial areas such as sales, security, and ticket inspection.

Responsibilities

Learn to drive a bus, subway, or tram in a shift system between 04:00 and 22:00.
Understand the technology of the vehicle, including engine, lights, and other components.
Gain knowledge in commercial areas such as sales points, security, and ticket inspection.

Requirements

Minimum age according to §11 BOStrab or §10 FeV.
For Bus: 18 years old by March 1, 2028.
For Subway/Tram without Class B driver's license: 21 years old by March 1, 2028.
For Subway/Tram with Class B driver's license by June 2027: no minimum age.
Intermediate school leaving certificate (MSA) by August 31, 2027.
Sufficient grades in Math and German (last report card).
German language skills at C1 level.
Maximum 1 point in the driver aptitude register (FAER).
Pass a fitness examination including urine test (with drug screening), blood test, vision test (excluding red-green color blindness), and physical examination (minimum height 1.62m - 1.98m).
Submit a CV with information on the highest expected school leaving certificate.
Submit the last school report card and, if applicable, the final certificate.
Submit recognition of foreign school leaving certificates from the Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family, if applicable.
Submit language certificates, if applicable.
