About the Role
As our Night Receptionist, you will be the face of the hotel during the night, welcoming guests, supporting late arrivals and early departures, assisting with guest queries, and ensuring the hotel runs smoothly. You will play a key role in making guests feel safe and looked after, completing night audit tasks, carrying out safety checks, and preparing the operation for the next day.
Responsibilities
- Welcoming guests warmly during the night and delivering a smooth check-in and check-out experience
- Handling guest queries, requests and complaints in a professional and helpful manner
- Completing night audit procedures accurately
- Carrying out hotel safety and security checks during the night
- Supporting guests who may require special attention or assistance
- Assisting other departments with basic night-time operational needs
- Preparing reports and handovers for the morning team
- Ensuring the reception area remains clean, organised and ready for the next shift
- Acting confidently and responsibly in emergency situations, following hotel procedures
- Helping create a positive guest experience from arrival to farewell
Requirements
- Previous experience in hotel reception, guest service, or a similar customer-facing role
- Previous experience with Opera Cloud
- Confident dealing with guests in person, by phone and by email
- Ability to work independently during night shifts
- Calm, responsible and able to handle unexpected situations professionally
- Strong communication skills
- Organised and accurate with administrative tasks
- Comfortable using hotel systems, or willing to learn
- Understand the importance of safety, security and guest wellbeing
- Fluent in English
- Enjoy working as part of a team, while also being able to manage tasks independently
- Previous experience with night audit procedures or hotel reception systems would be an advantage, but full training will be provided.
