About the Role
Global K9 Protection Group LLC is seeking a dedicated and passionate K9 Manager to be an integral part of the GK9PG Team, providing local K9 training and guidance, and advising the K9 Director on the status of local K9 teams.
Responsibilities
- Prepare for re-certifications quarterly
- Conduct covert internal audits
- Manage explosive inventories
- Perform monthly video audits and review of K9 Teams
- Maintain monthly records for preventative maintenance
- Ensure immunizations are current and within compliance
- Conduct and review monthly CETA and training schedules
- Serve as K9 Subject Matter Expert
- Oversee K9 Proficiency
- Mentor, Train, and Monitor Handler & K9 Proficiency
- Perform K9 Medical and Behavioral Assessments
- Provide guidance and interpretation on K9 capabilities for screening items according to CCSP K9 SP
- Ensure compliance with GK9PG policies and procedures, including TSA policies and directives
- Provide training guidance and recommendations to Site K9 Trainers to correct identified K9 performance deficiencies
