About the Role
This role focuses on executing and refining machine learning models to support daily operations, long-term planning, and forecasting. It involves analyzing discrepancies, identifying new data sources, and assessing the effectiveness of data gathering techniques to enhance prediction accuracy and generate operational insights.
Responsibilities
- Executes existing machine learning models for daily operations, planning, and forecasting.
- Reconciles actual and anticipated outcomes to identify discrepancies.
- Analyzes discrepancies to isolate issues and enable continuous improvement.
- Modifies existing plans and forecasts as necessary and communicates adjustments.
- Identifies new data to enhance model quality and accuracy for improved predictions.
- Assesses the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and gathering techniques.
- Applies statistical and analytical methods to identify trends and dependencies.
- Generates operational insights and recommendations for areas of opportunity.
- Supports initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
- Utilizes database platforms for data collection and complex issue analysis.
- Participates in report development and presents information using data visualization tools.
- Stays abreast of emerging data tools and technology.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in MIS / Data Analytics, mathematics, engineering, statistics, or a related field.
- 1 year of relevant experience.
- Strong mathematical background with the ability to perform analysis involving statistical methods and regression analysis.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to individuals with limited experience.
- Ability to perform analyses involving ratios, percentages, and simple statistical methods.
- Working knowledge of various software applications to create documents, reports, spreadsheets, and graphics.
- Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
