About the Role
Linguists are key players at TransPerfect, utilizing their language skills and subject matter expertise to create and finalize end products for clients. This role involves translating and proofreading documents for clients in the Investment Banking sector, working under the guidance of a manager and in collaboration with Project Managers. TransPerfect offers the possibility to work remotely anywhere in the world.
Responsibilities
- Translating and proofreading documents pertaining to a variety of clients in the Investment Banking sectors.
- Create and finalize the end product before it goes to the client.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Traditional Chinese (Taiwan).
- Specialized in Investment Banking - Market Commentary.
- Acute attention to detail, spelling and grammar.
- Ability to maintain professionalism in all situations, especially under tight deadlines.
- Asian time zone preferred.
- Applicants will be asked to sign a confidentiality agreement.
- Applicants will be asked to complete free Translation and Proofreading tests.
- Applicants will be asked to perform background check.
- Include relevant Translation and Proofreading experience in CV.
- Include proposed best Translation per word rate and Proofreading hourly rate in USD in CV.
- A Degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies or an equivalent degree that includes significant translation training, from a recognized institution of higher education; OR 2 years of translation experience and a college degree; OR 5 years of translation experience and no college degree; OR A certificate of competence in translation awarded by an appropriate government body.
