About the Role

- Develop and execute a global vendor strategy aligned with the firm’s investment, technology, operational, and financial objectives.
- Establish and oversee vendor performance metrics, service-level agreements, governance routines, and remediation plans, while identifying and mitigating vendor, operational, and continuity risks.
- Partner with Finance and Procurement to manage market data budgets, forecasts, invoice validation, cost allocations, inventory, usage, and savings initiatives.
- Work directly with portfolio managers, traders, research teams, and other investment professionals to understand data, product, and workflow needs, and partner with Technology, Data Management, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and other core groups to translate them into coordinated vendor solutions.
- Apply knowledge of market data products, exchanges, brokers, platforms, and financial information services to guide sourcing, licensing, entitlement, and product decisions, and contribute to the governance of market data inventory, entitlements, data quality, licensing compliance, and lifecycle controls.
- Lead initiatives to improve vendor-management and market data processes, controls, reporting, tooling, and automation, ensuring compliance with internal policies, contractual obligations, and applicable regulatory and exchange requirements.
Requirements
- Significant experience in market data, commercial and relationship management, operations, finance, or a related discipline within financial services.
- Demonstrated success owning senior vendor relationships and negotiating complex, high-value commercial agreements.
- Experience leading teams is strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of market data products, vendors, licensing models, and the financial markets ecosystem.
- Strong product knowledge across asset classes and investment workflows.
- Experience supporting portfolio managers and trading teams is a plus.
- Experience with data management, vendor governance, entitlement or inventory management, and operational process improvement.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and allocation methodologies.
- Proven people-leadership skills, with the ability to develop and manage a high-performing team.
