About the Role
The Technical Product Specialist will provide timely and accurate drawings, materials information, engineering, and pre/post-shipment product support for UPS technical applications, Transformers, Breakers, and Cables to various internal and external divisions. This role involves reviewing incoming orders during the approval drawing process to ensure all necessary equipment is provided.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical and engineering support for complex electrical products.
- Support customer applications and product configurations involving UPS systems, transformers, circuit breakers, cables, and related electrical equipment.
- Respond to technical questions and support issue resolution throughout the pre- and post-shipment lifecycle.
- Review incoming orders and customer specifications to verify design accuracy, completeness, and required equipment.
- Coordinate Engineered-to-Order (ETO) and Configured-to-Order (CTO) product orders from technical review through successful execution.
- Identify order or design discrepancies and coordinate with internal teams for resolution.
- Prepare and maintain approval, construction, and as-built drawings.
- Incorporate approved customer changes and maintain current engineering documentation.
- Support customer drawing reviews, final inspections, and preparation of required documentation packages.
- Prepare and support technical proposals and provide technical input throughout the quotation and order process.
- Coordinate with internal and external customers to review drawings, specifications, changes, and project requirements.
- Manage assigned technical deliverables and communicate progress, priorities, and risks.
- Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Field Services, Engineering, and other functions to support successful customer orders.
- Participate in departmental and corporate initiatives focused on operational and customer-service goals.
- Identify opportunities to improve engineering documentation, product configuration, order execution, and technical support processes.
Requirements
- Familiar with the Canadian Electrical Code and electrical distribution.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency in creating AutoCAD Electrical drawings.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
- No relocation benefit is being offered.

Salary/Compensations
- $86,000 - $101,000 a year inclusive of incentives
