About the Role
AI agents are transforming how work gets done, creating new requirements for managing, governing, securing, and optimizing them at scale. Microsoft Agent 365 provides a unified control plane to help customers confidently move from experimentation to enterprise-wide adoption. This role leads the Agent 365 Core Product Marketing team, shaping portfolio strategy, value proposition, and product narrative across IT and security scenarios, agent management, governance, developer ecosystems, and cost optimization. The ideal candidate combines deep technical product marketing expertise, strategic judgment, and people leadership to navigate ambiguity, clarify complex technology, and foster an inclusive, high-performing culture.
Responsibilities
- Own the core product marketing strategy for Agent 365, establishing a cohesive portfolio point of view across product pillars, customer scenarios, audiences, and contributing engineering organizations.
- Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Design, research, business planning, and other product marketing leaders to influence product direction, priorities, packaging, and roadmap decisions using customer, market, competitive, field, and partner insight.
- Define the end-to-end customer scenarios and product truths that connect Agent 365 capabilities across observability, management, governance, security, Financial Operations (FinOps), and related experiences.
- Identify gaps, overlaps, dependencies, and inconsistencies across products and experiences, and mobilize leaders and teams to resolve them for a coherent customer experience.
- Guide features and portfolio experiences from incubation and preview through launch, adoption, and ongoing evolution, with clear success measures and readiness criteria.
- Establish a systematic voice-of-customer approach to bring the needs of IT administrators, security professionals, developers, business leaders, partners, and SMB customers into product planning and prioritization.
- Create and steward the differentiated value proposition, positioning, and narrative for Agent 365, making a complex multi-product platform clear, credible, and relevant for IT and Security leaders, developers, business leaders, partners, and SMB customers.
- Ensure pillar-level product narratives reinforce the all-up Agent 365 promise while preserving depth and specificity for technical buyers and practitioners.
- Lead market and competitive analysis for agent management, governance, security, observability, developer platforms, and AI operations, translating insights into product choices and differentiated customer value.
- Partner with messaging, growth, analyst relations, communications, events, field, and partner teams to ensure product truth is translated consistently into launches, demos, content, enablement, and customer engagements.
- Represent Agent 365 with senior customers, partners, analysts, press, and internal leadership, using engagements to sharpen product and marketing strategy.
- Define the product evidence and proof points needed to strengthen customer confidence and establish Microsoft’s leadership in enterprise agent control and governance.
- Operate as a strategic integrator across Microsoft 365, Copilot, Entra, Purview, Defender, Intune, Windows, Copilot Studio, Foundry, Azure, and other contributing teams, aligning leaders around shared priorities and customer outcomes.
- Build trusted relationships with product, engineering, marketing, sales, finance, and business-planning leaders; surface trade-offs early and drive clear decisions when ownership or priorities cross organizational boundaries.
- Bring clarity and momentum to ambiguous, fast-moving work, balancing long-term platform strategy with near-term product and launch commitments.
- Communicate complex product, market, and organizational issues with precision and sound judgment, including clear recommendations, risks, decisions, and next actions for executive audiences.
- Connect teams toward a common vision and outcomes while respecting the distinct expertise, responsibilities, and customer commitments of contributing organizations.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of product marketers with remits spanning Agent 365 product pillars and critical investment areas.
- Establish clear priorities, roles, decision rights, and standards of excellence, while creating space for individual ownership, experimentation, growth, and visible impact.
- Build an inclusive, connected team culture grounded in trust, customer obsession, technical curiosity, candid feedback, collaboration, and accountability.
- Develop the team’s product marketing craft, technical depth, strategic thinking, executive communication, and ability to influence across complex organizations.
- Attract, retain, and grow diverse talent; recognize individual strengths and aspirations, provide actionable coaching, and create meaningful development and succession opportunities.
- Ensure the team operates as more than a collection of pillar owners by creating shared context, collective accountability, and mechanisms for PMMs to contribute to the broader Agent 365 strategy.
- Model leadership that combines high standards with empathy, actively removes barriers for the team, and creates the conditions for people to do their best work.
- Embody our Culture and Values
