About the Role

This position encompasses the design, engineering, and support of multi-tenant private and public cloud initiatives, integral to delivering services to core business sectors globally, including Trading, middle and back office, and Technology. The role is responsible for the support and maintenance of the BlueCrest Linux estate and Automation Services, delivered via On-Premise, Colo and Public Cloud platforms, providing robust solutions based on leading technologies.

Responsibilities

Design, engineer, and support multi-tenant private and public cloud initiatives.
Support and maintain the BlueCrest Linux estate and Automation Services.
Deliver robust solutions based on leading technologies.
Provide excellent levels of service to the business.
Understand key business processes and how delivered solutions aid business development.
Be involved in critical BAU and technology service delivery activities in a time-sensitive environment.
Implement new solutions to enhance business performance.
Follow pre-defined scopes, designs, and plans to assist in implementing and supporting new and existing technology initiatives.
Demonstrate clear communication skills.

Requirements

Extensive knowledge and experience of a major Linux Enterprise Server distribution including installation, configuration, automation, administration, and support in diverse, highly dynamic, fast-paced environments.
Experience with container platforms and tooling, including Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus, and GitOps.
Knowledge of integrating Linux within a Windows environment, including Active Directory and Kerberos integration.
Experience designing and supporting low-latency Unix-based trading systems in exchange colocation data centres.
Experience of automating and orchestrating cross-platform services using tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, and Cloud-Init.
Advanced scripting/programming skills in Python and Bash, CI/CD pipelines, APIs, and data structures such as JSON and YAML.
Experience of server hardware implementation, maintenance, monitoring, and automation using Infrastructure as Code and Ansible, including deployment and support within colocation facilities, low-latency environments, and distributed trading platforms.
Experience supporting on-premises infrastructure, integrating it with cloud platforms, and ensuring resilience, performance, and scalability across hybrid environments.
Experience with AI/ML workloads, AIOps, and supporting infrastructure.

Ability to deliver rapidly while balancing business constraints in fast-paced enterprise trading environments.
Proven hands-on experience supporting enterprise Linux platforms.
Strong expertise in SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) and/or Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
Experience integrating hosted and on-premises systems, with a focus on standardisation, automation and orchestration to deliver scalable, reliable infrastructure solutions.
Experience supporting cloud platforms and AI/ML workloads.
