About the Role
Wizard is seeking a developer-facing engineer to build and promote its open-source format, SDK, and tools. This role involves developing the reference library, plugins, and agent integrations, as well as creating documentation, tutorials, and fostering a developer community.
Responsibilities
- Ship the .wiz format spec, reference library, and docs.
- Ship SDK v0 for plugins and presets with real examples before public launch.
- Make models proficient with Wizard's code through examples, llms.txt, and evaluations.
- Manage open source projects including repos, issues, contribution guidelines, and releases.
- Seed the Wizard Marketplace with initial creators of plugins and presets.
- Build a developer community via demos, talks, livestreams, and meetups.
Requirements
- Proficiency in shipping production code in C++.
- Experience with at least one scripting language such as Python or TypeScript.
- Demonstrated ability to design user-friendly APIs and file formats.
- Experience maintaining an open source project, managing releases, and growing a community.
- Deep experience building with AI coding tools and agents.
- Ability to write clear documentation and examples that enable users to achieve results quickly.
