About the Role
We are seeking technical generalists who can collaborate with editors, understand their needs, and develop solutions to enhance their work. This role is ideal for software engineers with strong product sense or product-minded builders with robust engineering skills. You will report to Aryan Kapoor, who leads our paid beta. The core technology stack is C++.
Responsibilities
- Own customer accounts end to end: onboarding, delivery, adoption, and ongoing success.
- Fix P0 issues within hours and document the root cause to prevent recurrence.
- Build custom pipeline integrations for studio customers using the Wizard Headless CLI.
- Develop and release features, integrations, and workflow improvements on daily cycles.
- Determine project scope, prioritizing what to build and what not to build.
- Translate customer project learnings into enhancements for all users.
Requirements
- Experience in post-production, including editing, color grading, or sound mixing.
- Strong product judgment, including defining success metrics, testing assumptions, and using data for decision-making.
- Deep understanding of software fundamentals such as memory management, concurrency, data structures, and system design.
- Extensive experience utilizing AI coding tools for software development and deployment.
- Proficiency in user understanding, including asking effective questions, identifying core problems, and linking technical decisions to user workflows.
- Demonstrated ownership and ability to independently drive projects to completion and follow through post-launch.
- Evidence of user-facing software development with active user engagement.
- A portfolio showcasing technical skill, product judgment, and attention to detail.
- In-depth experience in a filmmaking discipline (editing, sound, color, cinematography, or visual effects) coupled with software development skills.
