About the Role

The VERGE Mentoring Program is designed to accelerate the development and career of highly-motivated entry-level engineers who aspire to achieve their technical and leadership potential. Participants will engage in challenging assignments, receive technical and leadership training, pursue advanced education, and gain leadership exposure and mentorship. You will be an integrated team member collaborating with Software, System, Hardware, and Test Engineers in various project phases, developing creative technical solutions for safety-critical embedded systems.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Software, System, Hardware, and Test Engineers in project planning, design, development, and testing phases.
Develop creative technical solutions to meet customer requirements for safety-critical embedded systems.
Gain specialized and tailored experience within a critical skill area.
Participate in cross-functional and/or cross-site project teams.
Pursue graduate degree on a part-time basis (encouraged or required for certain roles).
Engage in formal and structured mentorship from senior technical leaders.
Develop leadership skills through special assignments, modules, and company-wide development conferences.
Experience assignments in several operational functions, business areas, and product groups.

Requirements

Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Engineering
Capacity and motivation for hard work
Desire to gain a strong technical foundation
Demonstrated teamwork and leadership abilities in academic and non-academic pursuits
Outstanding communication and presentation skills
