About the Role
Seeking a Physician Assistant specializing in Critical Care for a Locum Tenens position in an Inpatient Hospital setting. This role involves providing comprehensive medical care to adult patients in the ICU and general medical units.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and coordination of care.
- Manage ICU patients, including new admissions, existing patients, and holds in the Emergency Room.
- Perform patient rounds, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans.
- Communicate and coordinate with primary care physicians and specialists to ensure continuity of care.
- Work a 7 on/7 off shift schedule (7a-7p), rotating between ICU and floor admission duties.
Requirements
- Active NY State License
- Must be Board Certified
- BLS, ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years recent experience
- Epic Experience Required
- Cannot accept Residents or Fellows
- Hospital Privileges Required
