About the Role
Parallel Employment Group is seeking a Production Worker for a manufacturing client in Lancaster, NY. This role involves contributing to the fabrication and distribution of high-quality products, operating machinery, performing assembly, and ensuring quality standards are met in a fast-paced team environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment and machinery.
- Perform assembly tasks according to specifications and drawings.
- Produce the correct quantity of product for each job.
- Record accurate job times on the router.
- Conduct quality checks at various stages of production.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Complete cross-training across multiple work areas.
- Maintain accurate production logs and documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to improve production efficiency and quality.
- Follow work instructions for the fabrication department.
- Follow all safety instructions.
- Assist in training new hires.
- Report quality problems to the supervisor.
- Follow departmental procedures and recommend improvements.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 6 months of manufacturing experience and machining.
- Aerospace/military defense manufacturing experience.
- Commitment of 40 hours per work.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
