About the Role
Exciting opportunity to work at Ocean Downs Casino, offering exciting gaming experiences, live harness racing, and exceptional hospitality. This is a full-time, year-round position with an excellent compensation package.
Responsibilities
- Creates and ensures a fun-filled, entertaining, and exciting environment where service excellence is paramount.
- Acknowledges and greets guests warmly and sincerely.
- Conducts and enforces table transactions and provides signatory validations according to company and regulatory rules.
- Monitors and supervises dealers and table games activities.
- Coaches team members to maintain and improve performance, promotion, and productivity using positive motivation.
- Advises management of progress, disputes, problems, suspicious activity, and substantial play.
- Ensures accuracy and completion of all signatory paperwork and transactions.
- Ensures the protection and integrity of assigned games, currency, chips, playing cards, dice, and other assets.
- Complies with State Lottery Regulations and Company Internal Controls.
- Promotes company marketing and promotional events and answers guest questions.
- Makes suggestions and recommendations for service and operational enhancements.
- Promotes outstanding customer relations.
- Promotes honesty and trust among the team.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a Table Games Dealer.
- Minimum of six (6) months’ experience as a Table Games Supervisor.
- Effective knowledge of casino management software and live games equipment.
- Good game protection skills and knowledge.
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the functions of the position.
- Ability to consistently comprehend, retain, and execute written, verbal, and demonstrated directions, explanations, and guidance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively communicate with guests, co-workers, and management.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a License issued by the Maryland State Lottery Agency.
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs without difficulty, repeatedly.
- Must be able to sit, walk, or stand for extended periods of time without difficulty.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
