About the Role

Build and lead Schweiger’s new Centralized Referral Team, ensuring every referred patient is booked and referring practices receive timely communication. This role involves managing a team, leveraging AI, and optimizing referral processes.

Responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end referral process, including intake, patient contact, booking, and communication with referring practices and providers.
Lead and develop a team of in-house and outsourced agents, setting daily goals and ensuring consistent quality and tone.
Collaborate with AI and technology partners to automate processes and improve efficiency.
Establish clear prioritization rules for handling referrals based on volume and data.
Assist in the implementation and utilization of a CRM system for tracking referral data.
Develop and maintain relationships with referring practices, handling escalations and identifying opportunities for growth.
Liaise with internal departments such as Patient Support Center, revenue cycle, and clinic operations.
Handle other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

3+ years of leadership experience in patient access, referral management, scheduling, or a similar high-volume healthcare operation.
Experience managing both outsourced/offshore and in-house staff.
Working knowledge of referrals, authorizations, insurance basics, and EHR/practice management systems.
Proficiency with CRMs and workflow tools.
Demonstrated ability to set, track, and act on team metrics.
Proven experience in launching or rebuilding processes successfully.
Working knowledge of HIPAA & OSHA compliance.
