About the Role

As Creative Director, Interactive Experiences, you will be the creative owner of all interactive projects, from event installations to product launch apps. You will set the creative bar for the studio while staying hands-on to shape the details that make an experience feel effortless. This leadership role involves guiding a team, collaborating with client leadership, and defining the future of interactive experiences for the studio.

Responsibilities

  • Shape the creative vision for interactive projects, translating client briefs and new technology into compelling experience concepts.
  • Maintain creative involvement throughout production to ensure finished experiences align with initial ambitions.
  • Establish and uphold a high standard for design, motion, and interaction quality across all studio projects.
  • Manage and develop a team of designers, creative technologists, and producers, providing clear creative direction.
  • Act as the primary creative contact for clients, balancing their business goals with compelling experience design.
  • Pitch new ideas and present finished work to build client confidence in the studio's judgment.
  • Monitor emerging interactive formats, hardware, and platforms, proactively recommending them to clients.
  • Integrate AI-assisted tools into the team's workflow for concepting, prototyping, and content production.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level creatives through constructive critique and guidance.
  • Oversee spatial, environmental, and interactive content design to ensure cohesive experiences.
  • Collaborate with production, fabrication, and technology partners to ensure ambitious concepts are buildable and maintainable.
  • Stay current with trends in interactive art, entertainment design, and consumer technology, applying this knowledge to studio work.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in a creative role focused on interactive, digital, or experience design.
  • Several years of direct experience managing a team.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating range in interaction design, visual design, and concept development.
  • Direct experience partnering with enterprise or consumer technology clients.
  • Comfort navigating multiple stakeholder layers within client organizations.
  • Willingness to actively use creative tools, not just review others' work.
  • A practical understanding of current hardware and software capabilities for ambitious yet buildable ideas.
  • Current, hands-on experience using AI tools in the creative process.
  • Experience managing projects from concept sketches through prototyping to finished, on-site experiences.
  • Familiarity with the broader interactive and immersive landscape (AR, VR, projection, sensor-driven installations).
