Responsibilities
- Champion a clear vision for client leadership across commerce and retail media, setting standards for strategic rigor, integrated delivery, innovation, and measurable impact.
- Partner with agency and capability leaders across Publicis Commerce to evolve the practice, including offerings, operating models, talent, tools, and go-to-market priorities.
- Represent the organization as a senior thought leader on retail media networks, connected commerce, data, measurement, and emerging platforms, and create repeatable best practices that scale across the portfolio and broader organization.
- Own the end-to-end commercial and operating health of a $45M client portfolio, including revenue, margin, forecasting, staffing, resource allocation, quality, scope, risk, and client satisfaction.
- Build a portfolio operating rhythm with clear governance, performance indicators, escalation paths, and accountability across disciplines and markets, and identify delivery, commercial, and organizational risks early with practical mitigation plans.
- Lead transformation initiatives that improve speed, integration, consistency, and value delivery, including the adoption of agentic AI with responsible governance, workflow automation, and data-enabled decision making, while ensuring continuity for clients and teams.
- Set the growth strategy for the portfolio across shopper marketing, retail media, eCommerce, omnichannel activation, content, data, measurement, and technology, and advise senior client leaders on how these investments connect to brand, sales, customer, and enterprise growth objectives.
- Integrate client leadership, shopper marketing, retail media, creative, strategy, analytics, data, technology, production, and activation, with clear accountability from brief and planning through execution, optimization, and measurement.
- Advance total commerce maturity, with retail media as a core growth engine, by strengthening audience strategy, platform and retailer partnerships, closed-loop measurement, incrementality, and performance optimization across the full path to purchase.
- Identify organic growth opportunities, lead senior-level business development, and convert client needs into scalable solutions and commercially sound scopes.
- Build, lead, inspire, and hold accountable a senior, multidisciplinary client leadership organization capable of managing a complex $45M portfolio, with clear accountability for client relationships, commercial performance, integrated delivery, and talent development.
- Design an organizational structure and workforce plan aligned to client needs, growth priorities, capability requirements, and financial commitments, and build a strong succession and talent pipeline through hiring, coaching, capability building, performance management, and intentional career mobility.
- Create an inclusive, high-performing culture grounded in collaboration, clarity, trust, continuous learning, and shared accountability, partnering across functions and geographies to resolve barriers and allocate resources effectively.
- Provide executive stewardship of C-suite and senior client relationships, connecting day-to-day delivery, portfolio performance, and emerging client needs to enterprise growth priorities and actionable commerce solutions.
- Lead annual and long-range portfolio planning, including financial commitments, growth plans, capability investments, and executive business reviews.
- Negotiate scopes, fees, and commercial terms that balance client value, delivery quality, and sustainable agency economics, ensuring the portfolio consistently meets agreed revenue, margin, and financial goals while maintaining high standards of client service and work quality.
Requirements
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in commerce marketing, retail media, shopper marketing, integrated marketing, or a related field, including significant executive-level client leadership.
- Demonstrated accountability for a large, complex client portfolio or business unit, ideally at or above $45M in annual revenue or managed scope.
- Deep knowledge of the commerce and retail media ecosystem, including major retailers, retail media networks, the ad technology platforms that power them, eCommerce, audience and data strategies, measurement, and omnichannel activation.
- Proven success leading multidisciplinary teams across strategy, creative, media, data, technology, production, and operations, including organizational or operating-model transformation in a complex, matrixed environment.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, including forecasting, margin management, resource planning, scope development, and contract negotiation.
- Executive presence and the ability to communicate, influence, and negotiate effectively across client and internal organizations.
- Enterprise-minded, forward-looking commerce leader who balances client growth, commercial discipline, operational excellence, and people leadership, and translates marketplace change into a focused client and capability agenda.
