About the Role
The In Room Dining Server will be a trained professional providing top-level service to match the quality of cuisine and product served. We seek individuals who communicate well, are dependable, and enthusiastic, with a passion for food and beverage, and the ability to read guests to ensure quality service and memorable experiences.
Responsibilities
- Serving experience in an upscale market
- Strong knowledge in food and beverage (wine and champagne knowledge is a plus)
- Manual handling
- Able to work well under pressure during times of high-volume service
- Exceptional upselling techniques
- Ensures all allergy procedures are followed at all times
Requirements
- Experience as a Room Service or a Server in a hotel or fine dining restaurant
- Knowledge of Micros POS System
- Highly organized
- Must be open to working AM/PM shifts, weekdays, weekends, and holidays
- Work in Mini Bar when necessary
- Have a full understanding of New York City Health Department standards and regulations
- Take personal responsibility for punctuality
