About the Role

Quality sits at the heart of everything we do. As Quality Manager, you will be the day-to-day responsible person who maintains and runs quality, food safety, and technical programmes across TRIP’s full drinks and supplements portfolio, spanning every co-manufacturer, ingredient supplier, and market we operate in across the UK, US, and EU. This is a hands-on, cross-border role supporting new product launches, managing incidents, and keeping quality controls sharp.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and continuously improve TRIP’s global QMS, HACCP, prerequisite programmes, internal audit schedule and CAPA log.
  • Lead BRC (or equivalent GFSI-benchmarked) alignment and development across the entire co-manufacturer network.
  • Own product specifications, Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation globally.
  • Act as a key quality contact for TRIP’s co-manufacturers and ingredient suppliers across our regions.
  • Support supplier approval, ongoing quality KPIs, audit schedules and corrective action plans.
  • Conduct and coordinate supplier audits across our co-manufacturer network.
  • Perform risk assessments on raw materials and suppliers.
  • Support and help maintain the product testing programme.
  • Maintain Certificate of Analysis (COA) management and finished product standards.
  • Monitor quality KPIs and help drive continuous improvement activity.
  • Partner with the NPD and R&D teams to provide quality and technical input throughout new product development.
  • Support trial execution, sensory alignment and packaging integrity checks for new products.
  • Help ensure new products reaching launch have complete quality documentation and finished product specifications.
  • Support complaint investigations and quality incidents from initial triage through root cause analysis and prevention of recurrence.
  • Support product recall readiness: help maintain the recall plan and act as quality lead should one be triggered.
  • Support the customer care team with technical knowledge on product quality queries and complaint resolution.
  • Help coordinate cross-functional problem-solving across operations, supply chain and NPD.
  • Provide subject-matter input into regulatory risk assessments, ingredient approval, claims substantiation and MPC/specification governance.
  • Keep product specifications and BOMs aligned with the compliance team’s MPCs and the Packaging Compliance Specialists’ artwork records.

Requirements

  • Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a quality or technical role within consumer goods — specifically functional beverages and/or food/dietary supplements — including experience managing quality across more than one market or region.
  • Hands-on experience working with co-packers or contract manufacturers, ideally spanning more than one country.
  • Strong working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, prerequisite programmes and food safety certification schemes (BRC, ISO 22000, GFSI).
  • Proven ability to manage supplier quality at scale — audits, KPI reporting, corrective actions — across multiple sites and suppliers simultaneously.
  • Confident communicator, comfortable holding suppliers and co-manufacturers to account across cultures and time zones while maintaining collaborative, long-term relationships.
  • Comfortable operating as the day-to-day responsible owner of a global function under senior direction, with the judgement to know when to decide and when to escalate.
  • Working familiarity with UK, US and/or EU food and food-supplement regulatory frameworks (FSA, MHRA, FDA).
  • Exposure to shelf-life and stability testing in beverages, including packaging interactions and carbonation.
  • Experience in a scale-up or high-growth, multi-market FMCG environment.
  • Prior experience building or maturing a QMS/BRC programme from the ground up.
  • Direct experience with US Dietary Supplements (Supplement Facts, 21 CFR Part 111 cGMP).
  • Background in functional/adaptogenic beverage CPG, alongside food or dietary supplement quality experience.
