About the Role

Terawatt is seeking its first dedicated supply chain leader to own vendor relationships for all Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE). This foundational role will shape the Supply Chain function, defining sourcing strategy, supplier base, procurement processes, and inventory discipline. The ideal candidate is a strategic, technically fluent, and relationship-driven leader experienced in energy, electrical infrastructure, construction, or industrial hardware environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive the strategy and roadmap for Supply Chain in partnership with key stakeholders, accountable for cost, schedule, and quality outcomes across all OFE categories.
  • Define the operating model, standards, and success metrics for the function, and evolve them as the business scales.
  • Serve as a senior partner to Technology, Operations and Finance leadership, representing supply chain risk and tradeoffs at the leadership level.
  • Partner with the CFO on Supply Chain budget planning, working capital, and staffing needs.
  • Own end-to-end vendor management for all OFE categories, including vendor selection, contracting, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Establish sourcing strategies for long-lead and constrained items, including dual-sourcing, and risk mitigation.
  • Lead supplier negotiations and contracting, balancing cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Align procurement and material delivery schedules to the development and commissioning pipeline.
  • Develop and manage an inventory and spares strategy across the site portfolio.
  • Partner with Technology and Operations to ensure OFE meets applicable standards and coordinate warranty and defect resolution.
  • Establish and track supplier KPIs and drive corrective action plans with underperforming vendors.
  • Build the Supply Chain function from the ground up, managing OFE vendor relationships and procurement, and growing into a team.
  • Build a culture of accountability, follow-through, and responsiveness across the function.
  • Represent Supply Chain in cross-departmental planning, building alignment on schedule and cost tradeoffs.
  • Manage supply chain risk through a formal risk register, alternate sourcing plans, and proactive issue escalation.
  • Implement and improve procurement systems and processes as the team and portfolio scale.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain and procurement, including senior leadership of complex, technical vendor relationships at the Director level or equivalent.
  • Experience owning or standing up a supply chain function or program — setting strategy, defining the operating model, and being accountable for outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage long-lead-time, constrained, or sole-source procurement categories.
  • Track record of hiring, building, and leading high-performing supply chain or procurement teams and comfort operating as a hands-on individual leader while the function is being built.
  • Experience sourcing and managing electrical or industrial equipment vendors (e.g., switchgear, transformers, generators, modular/prefab structures, or similar capital equipment), with the technical fluency to speak credibly about their lead times, capacity constraints, and quality standards.
  • Clear, credible communication with senior leadership, including the ability to shape functional strategy and present risk and tradeoffs concisely.
  • Experience in EV charging, energy, utility-scale electrical infrastructure or large scale infrastructure.
