About the Role

The Senior Associate, Procurement supports sourcing and purchasing for Elevate’s utility-scale battery energy storage and solar projects, focusing on high-voltage equipment, operations and maintenance (O&M) agreements, and long-term service agreements (LTSAs). This role involves market research, commercial analysis, supplier coordination, and procurement execution to ensure timely and budget-conscious acquisition of equipment and services. You will collaborate with various internal departments, manage sourcing activities, prepare recommendations, and support supplier negotiations and contracting.

Responsibilities

  • Support procurement planning for high-voltage equipment, O&M agreements, and LTSAs, aligning sourcing activities with project schedules and requirements.
  • Coordinate assigned sourcing packages from supplier outreach through proposal review, internal approvals, and contract execution.
  • Prepare requests for proposals, organize supplier questions, and develop bid comparisons with input from technical and commercial stakeholders.
  • Support supplier negotiations by analyzing pricing and commercial terms, preparing negotiation materials, and tracking open items.
  • Conduct defined supplier discussions with guidance from procurement leadership.
  • Track supplier milestones, equipment lead times, and delivery commitments; flag risks early and help coordinate solutions with project teams.
  • Maintain supplier relationships and accurate records of proposals, procurement decisions, contracts, and key obligations.
  • Research equipment pricing, supplier capacity, technology developments, and supply chain conditions across BESS, inverters, transformers, high-voltage equipment, and balance-of-plant components.
  • Maintain pricing benchmarks and supplier databases to support sourcing decisions, project budgets, and financial model assumptions.
  • Compare supplier proposals and technology options, highlighting differences in scope, cost, lead times, warranty coverage, and service terms.
  • Track procurement costs against project budgets and identify potential cost changes and savings opportunities.
  • Prepare clear procurement updates, market summaries, and recommendations for internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain procurement trackers and dashboards covering sourcing status, supplier commitments, key risks, and upcoming decisions.
  • Help improve procurement templates, data quality, and repeatable workflows, including practical applications of AI and automation.
  • Support other procurement activities as project and business needs evolve.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, economics, finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, or a similar commercial or analytical role within renewable energy, energy storage, power infrastructure, or a related industry.
  • Experience reviewing supplier proposals, analyzing pricing, and supporting negotiations and contract review.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to turn detailed information into clear comparisons and recommendations.
  • Strong organization and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple assignments, communicate dependencies, and escalate issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% to project sites, company offices, and supplier offices and factories, domestically and internationally.
