About the Role
Transports products and supplies from distribution center to NYC bakeries and other vendors within the tri-state area. This role is key in maintaining a safe and sanitary food service environment while upholding core values and promoting brand integrity and quality.
Responsibilities
- Use company vehicle to deliver baked goods, merchandise, and supplies to NYC bakeries and other customers.
- Ensure product arrives safely, on time, and in standard condition.
- Complete delivery documentation, including proof of delivery, purchase orders, and receipts.
- Account for all items and ensure accurate delivery for each transfer and purchase order.
- Maintain the company vehicle, including cleaning, organizing, proper storage, and refueling.
- Perform daily pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections for tire pressure, mileage, fuel level, and other service needs.
- Adhere to all NYC commercial vehicle and traffic laws.
- Determine proper parking instructions, utilizing commercial Muni Meters to avoid tickets.
- Comply with Magnolia Bakery's good manufacturing practices (GMPs) within the production facility.
Requirements
- Approximately 40 hours per week, with availability for holidays and weekends.
- Must be dependable.
- Follow policies and procedures outlined in Magnolia Bakery manuals.
- Understand role expectations and work within defined boundaries.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance.
- Active, valid driver's license.
- Previous driver experience required.
- Drivers must be aware of NYC/DOT rules, including parking and lane restrictions, truck-only routes, traffic signals, pedestrian right-of-way, seat belt use, cell phone restrictions, and speed limits.
- Familiarity with the NYC area, including outer boroughs.
- Good driving record, free of license revocation/suspension, moving violations, reckless driving, criminal convictions, driving without a license, failure to report an accident or making a false report, driving under the influence, and open container violations.
- Cannot have more than one moving violation or more than one accident in the past 3 years.
