About the Role
As the lead front-end engineer, you will operate like a founding product engineer, owning our partner-facing web products end to end. You will shape what we build as much as how, and work directly with product, design, and backend engineers. This role is for a self-starter who wants real ownership and is happy to step outside a narrow job description when the team needs it.
Responsibilities
- Own partner-facing web products end to end from design handoff through to release.
- Develop the embeddable onboarding module, a white-label, co-branded UI for fintech partners' customers to open brokerage accounts.
- Build the partner dashboard for viewing and managing customer accounts, including positions, statements, and account details.
- Create self-service features to reduce manual operations work.
- Rebuild flows on a new data model in conjunction with backend engineers for a new version of the business-account API.
- Maintain two codebases, including updating dependencies.
- Own the release process from preview environments through UAT to production.
Requirements
- 4+ years building production web applications with React and TypeScript.
- Experience building complex, multi-step forms and data-heavy screens with careful validation, edge cases, and error states.
- Experience working in the Node.js server layer behind web apps (Koa, gRPC, Postgres).
- Ability to agree on API contracts with backend engineers and provide constructive feedback.
- Experience working directly with design and product teams, translating Figma designs and product tickets into shipped features.
- Experience with the release process, including preview environments, UAT, and production.
- Product engineering mindset, focusing on user experience and business problems.
- Self-starter, self-motivated, and independent.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and wearing multiple hats.
- Fintech, brokerage, or banking experience is a plus.
- Experience building white-label or embeddable products for B2B customers is a plus.
- Experience integrating fintech SDKs such as Plaid or Persona, or e-signature tools is a plus.
- Comfort with AI-assisted development is a plus.
