About the Role

This role is for seasonal Bartenders at The Hills and Dune Deck Beach Club, part of Discovery Land Company's Hamptons locations. The Bartender will be responsible for creating the Discovery Land Company experience for members and employees by executing craft cocktails, mixing and serving drinks, and providing exceptional service.

Responsibilities

Execute craft cocktails and continuously create and present new ideas to management.
Mix and serve drinks to patrons, directly or through waitstaff.
Greet all guests and members promptly and politely, and by name whenever possible.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar/bar storage areas at all times.
Execute cocktail recipes and demonstrate ability to follow recipes for syrups and all house-made ingredients.
Enter all transactions accordingly into point-of-sale system and issue accurate checks to members and guests.
Display extensive knowledge of all beverages and ingredients, as well as recommendations for pairings of food.
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of wine and ability to make recommendations from the club wine list.
Demonstrate sense of urgency for responding to guest needs during all interactions.

Requirements

Twelve (12) months of front-of-house experience in high-volume restaurants, resorts, or private clubs.
Required to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and shifts greater than eight (8) hours in length.
Required to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Required to work indoors and outdoors.
Required to stand, walk, and move for a period of greater than four (4) hours.
Required to lift, carry, bend, stoop, squat, reach, push and pull.
May be required to lift and carry items that are sometimes greater than 50 pounds.
Background check will be performed at the expense of the employer.
