This senior, hands-on role involves setting strategy and executing communications initiatives, working directly with the CEO and co-founder.
Responsibilities
- Build and run the Gartner, Forrester, and IDC analyst relations program, including briefings, inquiry, and research submissions.
- Set a steady news cadence across cybersecurity, industrial, and business press, and respond rapidly to breaking news on OT attacks.
- Develop executive thought leadership through bylines, ghostwritten posts, speaking engagements, podcasts, and media training.
- Lead communications for product launches, funding rounds, partner news, and customer announcements.
- Manage Copia's LinkedIn presence and support leaders and sellers in their social media activities.
- Collaborate with sales and customer success to transform customer wins into case studies, references, and press-ready stories.
- Select and manage PR/AR partners, and report on key metrics such as share of voice, coverage, and analyst mentions.
Requirements
- 10+ years in B2B tech communications, preferably in cybersecurity or enterprise infrastructure.
- Proven track record in analyst relations, including leading Magic Quadrant or Wave submissions and improving company placement.
- Strong relationships with security and tech press, with sound judgment on story timing.
- Experience ghostwriting for executives and enhancing their public profiles.
- Ability to work independently as the first communications hire, handling tasks from release writing to pitching reporters.
- An integrated approach to communications, ensuring PR, AR, social, content, and customer stories function cohesively.
