About the Role
Shared Imaging is seeking a Full-Time Imaging Technologist Aide in the Bronx, NY area to provide exceptional patient care and support imaging services.
Responsibilities
- Greeting and directing patients
- Confirming and registering patients
- Verifying all necessary information is available for the test
- Assisting patients in and out of the trailer
- Pushing wheelchairs, gurneys and stretchers
- Assisting the technologist with patient positioning and on/off the scanning table
- Assisting in setting up MRI or PET/CT scanning rooms
- Stocking and maintaining patient dressing rooms, scan rooms and control areas
- Ordering supplies
- Performing other responsibilities as directed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- CPR/BLS Certification (via American Heart Association) required
- Ability to walk to and from hospital and trailer as needed
- Completed background check and drug screen on file
Skills
- Medical terminology, anatomy and physiology understanding preferred
- Patient care experience strongly preferred
- Self-starter with the ability to multi-task
- Hard working, detail-oriented, and committed to outstanding patient care
- Team player with a positive attitude
