About the Role
The Depot Clerk plays an important role in supporting the WSC's daily warehouse and device processing operations. This position is responsible for inspecting, testing, grading, scanning, charging, and preparing pre-owned mobile devices for resale in accordance with established WSC procedures and quality standards. The Depot Clerk ensures that devices are accurately evaluated, properly categorized, and processed efficiently to maintain inventory accuracy and support the timely availability of sellable products.
Responsibilities
- Process incoming mobile devices and related electronic products in accordance with established Company procedures, operational guidelines, and quality standards.
- Perform functional testing of mobile devices to assess their condition, identify defects, and ensure compliance with established testing requirements.
- Inspect and grade devices based on cosmetic appearance, functionality, and Company grading standards to ensure accurate product classification.
- Accurately scan, record, and update device information, including IMEI numbers, using Microsoft Excel, barcode scanners, and designated inventory management systems.
- Charge, sort, organize, and prepare mobile devices for further processing, inventory adjustment, or resale.
- Assemble and match compatible accessories with mobile devices to ensure products are properly prepared and meet established resale requirements.
- Maintain accuracy and consistency throughout the processing cycle by identifying discrepancies, reporting quality concerns, and following established inventory control procedures.
- Meet established daily productivity goals and processing expectations while maintaining a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and quality.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of mobile devices, including common features and functions.
- Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use Microsoft Excel for data entry and recordkeeping.
- Ability to operate barcode scanners and other basic electronic equipment.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and consistently apply established procedures.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to maintain accuracy while performing repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team environment.
- Ability to maintain productivity and quality standards in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Ability to visually inspect mobile devices and identify cosmetic defects, with or without corrective lenses.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and finger movements associated with handling, testing, scanning, and processing mobile devices.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing assigned duties.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to reach, bend, grasp, and handle small electronic devices and accessories as required.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
