About the Role
We are seeking a lighting technician / spotlight operator for the Theater des Westens, working 20 hours per week. This position is fixed-term until April 30, 2027.
Responsibilities
- Properly operate spotlight 1 & 2 during performances and rehearsals, including technical rehearsals, following instructions from stage and lighting management.
- Perform repairs and maintenance during checks and daily duties.
- Independently carry out project-related special events.
- Conduct safety system inspections (desirable).
Requirements
- Training as an electrician, event technician, or in a craft trade is desirable.
- Theater and lighting experience is advantageous.
- Experience in maintenance and repair of moving lights is desirable.
- Basic electrical knowledge and understanding of electromechanics, conventional lighting systems, SetLX / Practicals.
- Experience with system technology (network technology and DMX) is advantageous.
- Fit for constant work at heights.
- Willingness to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Reliability, teamwork, and concentration.
- High self-motivation.
