About the Role
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will set the technical direction for Hike’s platform across clinical software, AI agents, and manufacturing. You will own complex problems, make scalable architecture decisions, and mentor other engineers while still writing significant amounts of code.
Responsibilities
- Design the core platform connecting Hike’s AI, clinical, and manufacturing systems.
- Lead complex technical initiatives, including enterprise integrations and healthcare data infrastructure.
- Set standards for reliability, security, and compliance.
- Mentor engineers and collaborate with product and design teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years building production systems with a track record of leading large technical efforts end to end.
- Deep experience in backend architecture, distributed systems, and data modeling.
- Fluency with modern cloud and tooling.
- Product-minded with an understanding of user impact.
- Strong communicator who challenges assumptions and collaborates effectively.
- Mission-focused with a desire to build technology that changes lives.
